BWOC are proud to donate to Leading Children's Charities
Posted on the 31st December 2014 in the category Sponsorships
BWOC Walsall staff were busy over the festive period raising awareness & collecting donations for two very worthwhile children’s charities.
‘Who Cares? Trust’
Our annual ‘Great BWOC Bake Off’ was held on Monday 22nd December and the female staff baked a whole menagerie of festive savouries and sweet treats, while the gentlemen staff took great delight in sampling them.
Through the bake sale, we managed to raise £44.00 for the ‘Who Cares? Trust’, which supports the development of children in care.
"The Who Cares? Trust is a voice and a champion for children and young people in the UK living in care. They believe that every child in care should receive the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to enjoy their life and to achieve."
'Birmingham Children's Hospital'
Rather than do our usual office ‘Secret Santa’ we decided to buy gifts for the in-patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital as well as to donate gifts for the waiting rooms & family areas.
The reaction to this by our sales teams was phenomenal, and within days our office filled with games, dress-up costumes, dolls, baby toys and even games consoles.
A group of us were proud to deliver the gifts to the hospital on 23rd December and we were met by the hospital fundraisers who were quite overwhelmed & grateful for our donations.

The BWOC Telesales and Field Sales teams went head to head in a charity football match on September 26th, raising money for the very worthy ‘Help for Heroes’ charity.
The 5-a-side game, which took place at ‘Goals’ in Darlaston, West Midlands, managed to raise a grand total of £230.30.
Telesales were victorious after beating the Field team 20 – 7 and Scott Fillingham, National Field Sales Manager said afterwards ‘that is was a very close result’.
The game was spearheaded by James Heath in the Telesales Department.
He had this to say….
‘’ Help for Heroes is a very deserving charity, with every penny raised going towards helping to rehabilitate our wounded soldiers.
There are currently about 75,000 members of the UK military needing help, and hopefully the money we raised will go towards helping them”
If you would like to help the cause, you can donate via Just Giving at https://www.justgiving.com/bwoccharityfootballmatch/

Transparent Fuel Prices
Posted on the 22nd August 2014 in the category Fuel News
According to the AA motorists in the UK have seen a fuel price fall of 2.7% this summer and over the last few weeks, BWOC diesel prices have been at their lowest level for 2014.
The AA have revealed that petrol prices at the pumps had fallen to to a three-year low with an average price of 129.72ppl in mid-August and diesel averaged at 133.94ppl, the lowest since February 2011.
In Northern Ireland the average is currently 130.6ppl for petrol, the most expensive in the country, whereas Yorkshire and Humberside are the cheapest for petrol at an average of 129.4ppl.
At the moment, East Anglia are averaging 134.5ppl for diesel, knocking Scotland off their usual spot as the UK's most expensive.
One way to combat unpredictable & varying fuel prices is with a BWOC fixed priced fuel card. You get a fixed cost per week, given in advance & you pay the same price at every site on the network, regardless of what the polesign states! Having this level of convenience also saves you precious time on admin & chasing down receipts.
With no minimum term contract or drawing commitment, what have you got to lose?
For more information go to the fuel card page & compare which card is right for your business!
